Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then drain crankcase.
3. Remove flywheel dust cover, then the starter motor.
4. Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the oil pan.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Apply suitable sealer to oil pan mating surfaces, then torque 6 mm bolts to 6---15 ft. lbs. and 8 mm bolts to 15---30 ft. lbs.
