Camshaft: Service and Repair

1. Remove engine from vehicle, refer to ``Engine, Replace'' procedure.
2. Remove valve lifters, refer to ``Valve Lifter, Replace'' procedure.
3. Remove crankcase front cover, refer to ``Front Cover, Replace'' procedure.
4. Remove fuel pump and pushrod, then the timing chain and sprocket. Refer to ``Timing Chain & Sprocket, Replace'' procedure.
5. Remove camshaft. Use caution not to damage bearings during camshaft removal.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Coat camshaft lobes with suitable grease before installation.
