Steering Column Lower Cover

Disconnect negative battery cable, then disconnect ash tray electrical connector. Pull ash tray out and remove two screws at bottom of ash tray. Remove ash tray door cover and ash tray. Remove four screws securing lower cover to upper cover (one screw removed thru ash tray access). Loosen two screws securing lower cover to lower instrument panel, disengage lower cover by pulling out to gain access to wiring connections on rear side of cover. Disconnect twilight sentinel (if equipped) and remove courtesy lamp from bracket and turn signal flasher from clip, remove cover.
