Circuit/System Testing

  1. Verify the USB cable is properly connected and there is no damage to the cable or connections.
    • If connection problems or cable damage is noted. 

      Perform the appropriate repair or replacement to correct any issues.

    • Go to next step: If no connection problems or cable damage is noted. 
  2. Disconnect the P16 Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module X2 harness connector and the P29 Head-Up Display X2 harness connector.
  3. Connect the EL-50334-50 to the P16 Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module and the P29 Head-Up Display X2.
  4. Ignition ON, Head-Up system ON.
  5. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 
    1. Replace the P29 Head-Up Display.
    2. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • If the DTC sets 

        Replace the P16 Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module.

      • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 

        Go to next step: All OK

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  6. Replace the USB harness.
