WARNING: When a lift gate hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Preliminary Procedures Liftgate Power Assist Actuator Replacement . Liftgate Strut Replacement Disconnect all electrical connectors. Disconnect the rear washer hose.
1	Liftgate Hinge Bolt [4x] CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2	Liftgate Procedure With the aid of an assistant, remove the liftgate. Transfer components as necessary. NOTE: Calibrate the power liftgate if required. Refer to Liftgate Calibration .

Liftgate Strut Replacement
Disconnect all electrical connectors.
Disconnect the rear washer hose.

Liftgate Hinge Bolt [4x]

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
22 N.m (16 lb ft)

Liftgate
Procedure
With the aid of an assistant, remove the liftgate.
Transfer components as necessary.

NOTE:

Calibrate the power liftgate if required. Refer to Liftgate Calibration .
