Diagnostic Aids

The daytime running lamps are controlled by an external LED driver module mounted to the exterior of the headlamp assembly. Circuit/System testing cannot be performed internal to the headlamp assembly. It is recommended to replace the LED driver module prior to replacing the headlamp assembly if Circuit/System testing passes.

The daytime running lamps are controlled through two separate circuits that illuminate the daytime running lamps at different intensities. The park lamp control circuits illuminate the daytime running lamps at a low intensity anytime the park lamps are commanded ON. Separate daytime running lamp control circuits illuminate the daytime running lamps at a higher intensity during bright ambient light conditions.
