Removal Procedure

- Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
Disconnect the range selector lever cable terminal (3) from the transmission manual shift lever (2).
- Remove the bolt (1) retaining the automatic transmission range selector lever cable to the cable bracket.
- Remove the range selector lever cable from the transmission.
- Remove the front floor console. Front Floor Console Replacement
Disconnect the automatic transmission range selector lever cable terminal (2) from the shift lever pin.
- Release the automatic transmission range selector lever cable retainer (1) and remove the automatic transmission range selector lever cable from the transmission control lever base.
Move the floor carpet and insulation in order to gain access to the automatic transmission range selector lever cable grommet (2).
- Remove the automatic transmission range selector lever cable grommet nuts (1) and the automatic transmission range selector lever cable grommet from the cowl panel.
- Remove the automatic transmission range selector lever cable from the vehicle.
