Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the camshaft cover as needed. Camshaft Cover Assemble

    Place a bead 8 mm (0.3150 in) in width by 4 mm (0.1575 in) in height of RTV sealant equivalent, on the engine front cover split lines (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

  3. Camshaft Cover Seal (2) - Install a NEW seal.
  4. Camshaft Cover (3) - Install
  5. Camshaft Cover Bolt (4) - Loosely install [18x]
    6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Camshaft Cover Bolt (4) - Tighten in the sequence shown. [18x] 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  7. Position and install the engine harness to the camshaft cover.
  8. Camshaft Position Actuator Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 2 (Left Side) Intake - Install
  9. Camshaft Position Actuator Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 2 (Left Side) Exhaust - Install
  10. Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 2 - Install
  11. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube @ Camshaft Cover - Connect
  12. Camshaft Housing Cover Insulator Replacement - Left Side  - Install
