Inspection Procedure Left Camshaft Carrier

- Inspect the camshaft carrier for the following conditions:
- Damage to the top sealing surface (1)
- Damage to the camshaft bearing cap bolt holes (2)
- Damage to the camshaft carrier bolt holes (3)
- Damage to the camshafts mounting surface areas (4)
- Damage to the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve holes (5)
- Damage to the camshaft bearing cap bolt holes (6)
- Damage to the fuel pump bolt holes (7)
- Damage to the fuel pump mounting surface and the valve lifter follower area (8)
- Damage to the engine oil manifold check valve mounting areas (9)
- Damage to the bottom sealing surface (10)
- Repair or replace the camshaft carrier as necessary.
