Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Buick Regal and 2019 Buick Regal. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector: K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module
  3. Connect a DMM, set on the diode setting, between the test points:
    • Red lead @ Low Reference terminal 16
    • Black lead @ Ground terminal 9
  4. Verify the DMM displays between 0.4 and 0.8 V.
    • If not between 0.4 and 0.8 V 

      Replace the component: K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module

    • Go to next step: If between 0.4 and 0.8 V 
  5. Connect a DMM, set on the diode setting, between the test points:
    • Red lead @ Ground terminal 9
    • Black lead @ Low Reference terminal 16
  6. Verify the DMM displays the following: O.L.
    • If not the specified value 

      Replace the component: K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module

    • Go to next step: If the specified value 
  7. All OK.
