Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement: Notes

Removal Procedure

1. Intake Air Splash Shield (1) - Remove - Intake Air Splash Shield Replacement

2. Disconnect the cable end retainer (1) from the latch.

3. Release the hood primary latch release cable (3) from the retainers (2).

4. Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable (1) from the inside handle. Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement 

5. Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable grommet (1) from the plenum upper panel.

6. Release the hood primary latch release cable from the retainer (2).
7. Attach mechanics wire to the cable (3) and pull the cable out.
