Driver or Passenger Seat Removal and Installation

Preliminary Procedures

  1. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  2. Disconnect the seat belt from the tensioner. Front Seat Belt Retractor Replacement
1 Driver or Passenger Seat Assembly Bolt (Qty: 4)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Adjust the seat to the full forward position to gain access to the rear bolts.
  2. Adjust the seat to the full rearward position to gain access to the front bolts.

Tighten 
45 N.m (33 lb ft)
2 Driver or Passenger Seat

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the front seat and tensioner electrical connector, and passenger presence system connector, if equipped.
  2. With the aid of an assistant remove the front seat, by tilting the seat forward, and then lifting and pulling the seat upwards to disengage the locator pins from the floor.
  3. If replacing with a new seat assembly, the new seat adjuster memory module requires programming and setup information. Control Module References
NOTE:

The new manual seat track is locked and the seat can not slide. Unlock the track, if required.
