Circuit/System Description

The Ambient Air Temperature Sensor is directly wired to the Instrument Cluster. The Engine Control Module (ECM) recieves ambient air temperature sensor messages from the Instrument Cluster via serial data. The ECM also has an air temperature sensor directly wired to it. The ECM compares the sensor reading to the ambient air temperature sensor message received from the Instrument Cluster to verify they are within a predetermined threshold.
