Conditions for Setting the DTC

- The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 30° C (86° F) warmer than the IAT sensor.
OR
- The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 15° C (59° F) warmer than the IAT sensor, and NO engine block heater was not detected.
OR
- The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 15° C (59° F) warmer than the IAT sensor, the engine cranked for greater than 10 s without starting and NO engine block heater was not detected.
