Camshaft Cover Removal (LAF, LEA, or LUK)

  1. Remove the rear lift bracket (1).

  2. Remove the front lift bracket (1).

  3. Remove the ignition coil (1).

  4. Remove the camshaft housing cover insulator (1).

    NOTE:

    DO NOT remove the PCV hose from the camshaft cover. If damage to the hose or connectors is present, the cover must be replaced.

  5. Remove the camshaft cover assembly (1).
  6. Remove and discard the camshaft cover gasket, camshaft cover grommets, and camshaft cover bolts if they are serviced with the grommet.
