Camshaft Cleaning and Inspection (LAF, LEA, or LUK)

- Inspect the camshaft journals and lobes for wear or scoring.
- Inspect the camshaft sprocket alignment notch for damage.
- Inspect the camshaft cover (1) for damage or loose oil control baffles.
- Clean the camshaft cover.
- Wash the camshafts (2, 3) in solvent.
- Oil the camshafts.
- Inspect the camshaft cover for cracks or other signs of damage.
