Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM determines that the modeled ECT has met the calibrated target of 71° C (160 °F) and the measured ECT is less than 52° C (126° F) and the start-up ambient temperature is between 10° and 52° C (50° and 126° F), for greater than 1 s.
OR
The ECM determines that the modeled ECT has met the calibrated target of 55° C (131 °F) and the measured ECT is less than 20° C (68° F) and the start-up ambient temperature is between -7° and 10° C (19° and 50° F), for greater than 1 s.
