Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTCs P0716 and P0717 are Type A DTCs.
TCM freezes transmission adaptive functions.
TCM commands the high side driver OFF.
TCM commands TCC OFF.
TCM commands maximum line pressure.
TCM disables neutral idle.
TCM inhibits Tap Up/Down function.
TCM inhibits manual shifting of forward gears.
Torque management is enabled.
TCM limits the transmission to Reverse and 3rd or 5th gear operation.
