Circuit/System Testing
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate Q37 Shock Absorber Actuator.
- Vehicle in Service Mode, test for 4.5-6V between the control circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If less than 4.5V
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K19 Suspension Control Module.
- Test for infinite resistance between the control circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K19 Suspension Control Module, ignition ON.
- Test for less than 2Ω in the control circuit end to end.
- If 2Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2Ω, replace the K19 Suspension Control Module.
- If greater than 6V
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K19 Suspension Control Module, ignition ON.
- Test for less than 1V between the control circuit and ground.
- If 1V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1V, replace the K19 Suspension Control Module.
- If between 4.5-6V
- Test for 7.5-9V between the control circuit terminal 2 and ground.
- If less than 7.5V
- If greater than 9V
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K19 Suspension Control Module, vehicle in Service Mode.
- Test for less than 1V between the control circuit and ground.
- If 1V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1V, replace the Q37 Shock Absorber Actuator.
- Verify the DTC does not set while operating the vehicle under Conditions for Running the DTC.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the K19 Suspension Control Module.
- If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
