Internal Starter Generator Inspection

    NOTE:

    If 3-phase drive motor generator battery cable terminal fasteners at the A15 Starter Generator were found to be loose, it is important to check for arc-flash damage internally.

  1. Detach the 3-phase drive motor generator battery cable from the A15 Starter Generator. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Battery Cable Replacement .
  2. Verify the internal A15 Starter Generator terminals and 3-phase drive motor generator battery cable terminals do not have arc-flash damage.
    • If arc-flash damage is present 

      Replace the damaged component or components

    • If no arc-flash damage is present 
  3. Re-assemble the vehicle.
