Preliminary Procedure Remove the secondary air injection check valve bracket. Refer to Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Bracket Replacement . Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement (LUK, LEA)
1	Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Fastener (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Procedure Remove the right secondary air injection check valve pipe adaptor. Refer to Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Replacement - Right Side (LUK) Install a new exhaust manifold gasket. NOTE: The secondary air injection check valve pipe adaptors share the use of the exhaust manifold gasket. Both adaptors must be removed in order to replace the exhaust manifold gasket.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
10 N.m (89 lb in)

Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter

Procedure

Remove the right secondary air injection check valve pipe adaptor. Refer to Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Replacement - Right Side (LUK)
Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.

NOTE:

The secondary air injection check valve pipe adaptors share the use of the exhaust manifold gasket. Both adaptors must be removed in order to replace the exhaust manifold gasket.
