Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Relieve the system fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (High Side)  .
  2. Disconnect the engine fuel feed front pipe from the chassis fuel feed front pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
    3. Fig 1: Fuel Feed Pipe

  3. Remove the fuel feed pipe (1) from the retainers (2).
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  5. Disconnect the chassis fuel feed pipe (1) from the fuel tank fuel feed pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  6. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector.
  7. Disconnect the chassis fuel feed pipe from the brake bundle retainers (2) and remove the pipe (1) from the vehicle.
  8. Transfer parts as necessary.
