Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 30°C (86°F) warmer than the IAT sensor.
OR
The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 15°C (59°F) warmer than the IAT sensor, and NO engine block heater was not detected.
OR
The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 15°C (59°F) warmer than the IAT sensor, the engine cranked for greater than 10s without starting and NO engine block heater was not detected.
