Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module and the G12 Fuel Pump inline harness connector X350.
- Test for less than 2Ω in the low reference circuit end to end between the following terminals:
- X350 terminal
- K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module terminal 16
- If 2Ω or greater
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2Ω
- Connect the harness connector at the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module.
- Ignition ON, connect a test lamp between the fuel pump control circuit terminalA and the low reference circuit terminal S on the body side of connector X350.
- Verify the test lamp turns ON and OFF when commanding the Fuel Pump Enable On and Off with a scan tool.
- If the test lamp is always OFF
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module.
- Test for infinite resistance between the fuel pump control circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2Ω in the fuel pump control circuit end to end.
- If 2Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2Ω, test or replace the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module.
- If the test lamp is always ON
- Ignition OFF, remove the test lamp, disconnect the harness connector at the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module, ignition ON.
- Test for less than 1V between the fuel pump control circuit and ground.
- If 1V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1V, test or replace the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module.
- If the test lamp turns ON and OFF
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module and at the G16 Fuel Pump. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Test for infinite resistance between the low reference circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance

- Test for less than 2Ω in the low reference circuit end to end.
- If 2Ω or greater
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2Ω
- If 2Ω or greater
- Test for infinite resistance between the fuel pump control circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2Ω in the fuel pump control circuit end to end.
- If 2Ω or greater
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
