Preliminary Procedure Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
1	Rear Differential Drive Flange Bolts and Retainers (Qty:3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Mark a reference point between the propeller shaft and the flange. Using the appropriate tools, remove the flange bolts and the retainers. Use the DT-49064 puller , if needed to remove the propeller shaft. Tighten 29 N.m (21 lb ft) Special Tools DT-49064 Puller For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
2	Support Bearing Mounting Bolts (Qty:4) Procedure Support the support bearings with jack stands. Clean threads of all residue of the old threader locker. Apply thread locker to the bolts. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers . Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
3	Propeller Shaft Procedure Using the DT-49030 fork , remove the propeller shaft from the transfer case. It may be necessary to have the help of an assistant to remove the propeller shaft. Apply grease on the spline. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers . Special Tools DT-49030 Fork, Cardan Removal For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
