Circuit/System Testing

NOTE:

The Q48 Rear Drive Clutch Solenoid Valve is calibrated with and is part of the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module. Both components must be replaced as a matched set.

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal D and control circuit terminal C at the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module terminals, engine running.
  3. Verify the test lamp turns ON and OFF when commanding the Rear Differential Clutch Pump Motor ON and OFF.
    • If the test lamp is always ON 

      Replace the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module.

    • If the test lamp is always OFF 

      Replace the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module.

    • If the test lamp turns ON and OFF 
  4. Test or replace the M32 Differential Clutch Pump.
