Circuit/System Testing

Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module.
Connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal B and control circuit terminal A at the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module terminals, ignition ON.
Verify the test lamp turns ON and OFF when commanding the Rear Differential Clutch Solenoid Valve between 0mA and 200mA.
- If the test lamp is always ON
  Replace the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module.
- If the test lamp is always OFF
  Replace the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module.
- If the test lamp turns ON and OFF
Ignition OFF, disconnect the connector at the Q49 Differential Clutch Solenoid Valve.
Test for less than 1V on the control circuits listed below and ground.
- Control circuit terminal B
- Control circuit terminal A
- If 1V or greater
  Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1V
Test for infinite resistance between the control circuit terminals and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
  Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
Test for less than 2Ω for the control circuit terminals end to end.
- If 2Ω or greater
  Repair the open/high resistance on the circuit.
- If less than 2Ω
Test or replace the 49 Differential Clutch Solenoid Valve.
