Preliminary Procedure Set the parking brake and, with engine OFF, shift transmission to neutral.
1	Transmission Control Lever Knob Procedure Unclip the transmission control indicator opening cover from the central console. Disconnect the range indicator connector. Remove the transmission control lever knob from the transmission control. Pulling upward with a twisting motion will aid in disengaging the retainer. NOTE: The transmission control lever knob is only available along with the control lever boot and the control indicator opening cover as an assembly.

Procedure

Unclip the transmission control indicator opening cover from the central console.
Disconnect the range indicator connector.
Remove the transmission control lever knob from the transmission control. Pulling upward with a twisting motion will aid in disengaging the retainer.
NOTE:
The transmission control lever knob is only available along with the control lever boot and the control indicator opening cover as an assembly.
