Conditions for Running the DTC

Before the ECM can report DTC P0324 failed, DTC P0335, P0336, and P0338 must run and pass.
The ECM is controlling spark.
The engine coolant temperature is greater than 60°C (140°F).
The engine speed is within one of the following:
- The rate at which the engine speed increases is within 250-2,000 RPM per second.
- The engine speed is between 1,000-4,800 RPM and steady.
The volumetric efficiency is steady.
DTC P0324 runs continuously every 510 RPM, once the above conditions are met for a total 50 seconds.
