Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the right engine mount strut bracket to the vehicle.
    2. Fig 1: Locating Engine Mount Strut Bracket Bolts

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Connect the engine mount strut bracket bolts to the cylinder head.

    Tighten:  Tighten the engine mount strut bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the generator into the proper position.
  4. Install the generator bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the generator bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the right engine mount strut and radiator support bracket to the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .
  6. Connect the pulley to the generator.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LY7) .
