Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  2. Remove the front exhaust manifold pipe. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Pipe Replacement - Front (RPO LD8) .
  3. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (2) from the oil level sensor.

  4. Loosen the oil pan bolts (1).
  5. Remove the oil pan (2) and discard the oil pan gasket.
  6. Clean and inspect the oil pan, if necessary. Refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
