Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Radiator Outlet Hose (3.8L)

Align the marks on the hose. Install the radiator outlet hose to the water pump housing.
Use J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp to the water pump housing. See Special Tools .
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

Install the radiator outlet hose (3) to the radiator (2).
Use J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp to the radiator. See Special Tools .
Install the lower radiator air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle and Deflector Replacement - Lower .
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (LY7) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26) .
