Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine mount strut bracket to the head.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the engine mount strut bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the engine mount strut to the left engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left  and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right .
  4. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor. Refer to Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L (L26 and L32).
  5. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (LY7) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26) in Engine Cooling.
