Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) .
  2. Remove the radiator air baffle. Refer to RADIATOR AIR BAFFLE ASSEMBLIES AND DEFLECTORS .
  3. Place a suitable drain pan under the oil filter.

  4. Remove the oil filter.

  5. Reposition the oil cooler outlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
  6. Remove the oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler fitting.
  7. Reposition the oil cooler inlet hose lamp at the engine.
  8. Remove the oil cooler connector.
  9. Remove the oil cooler bolts and stud.

  10. Remove the oil cooler and gasket from the oil filter adapter.

  11. If replacing the oil cooler, reposition the oil cooler inlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
  12. Remove the oil cooler inlet hose from the oil cooler.
