Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Engine Mount Strut Bracket

  2. Loosen and remove the engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket through bolt (4) and nut (5).
  3. Rotate the engine mount strut up out of the way.

  4. Remove the engine harness clip (1) from the engine mount strut bracket.
  5. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  6. Remove the radiator air baffle. Refer to RADIATOR AIR BAFFLE ASSEMBLIES AND DEFLECTORS .
  7. Remove the right front engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine .

  8. Remove the A/C compressor front bolt and nut.

  9. Remove the A/C compressor rear bolt.
    10. IMPORTANT: Do not evacuate the air conditioning (A/C) system.
  10. Reposition the A/C compressor aside.
  11. Remove the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.
  12. Lower the vehicle.

  13. Remove the engine mount strut bracket bolts.
  14. Remove the engine mount strut bracket.
