Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube.

  2. Remove and discard both PCV tube O-rings

  3. Remove the valve rocker arm cover bolts.
    4. IMPORTANT: When removing the valve rocker arm cover make sure the gasket stays in place attached to the cylinder head.
  4. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.
  5. Cut the room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) in the channel where the intake, cylinder head and valve rocker arm cover meet with a suitable tool.
  6. Remove the valve rocker arm cover gasket.
