Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning (A/C) system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
    3. IMPORTANT: Immediately cap or tape the open A/C compressor opening immediately in order to prevent system contamination.
  3. Remove the high pressure relief valve (1).
  4. Remove and discard the O-ring seal (2).
  5. Cap or tape the pressure relief valve port.
