Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate and install the NEW O-ring seal (2). Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
  2. Remove the cap or tape from the pressure relief valve port.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the high pressure relief valve (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the valve to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  6. Leak test the fitting of the component using J 39400-A  .
