Removal Procedure

Remove the left rear tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tire and Wheels.
Remove the adjusting nut.
Remove the brake cable from the adjuster.
For vehicles equipped with ABS only, remove the speed sensor harness from the trailing arm.

Using the J 37043 , remove the brake cable (1) from the trailing arm retaining bracket. See Special Tools .

Remove the brake cable (1) from the retaining bracket on the brake caliper.

Push the inner cable (1) as far forward as possible.
Rotate the tip of the inner cable toward the brake caliper and remove from the actuator (2).

Remove the brake cable from the vehicle.
