Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
    2. Fig 1: Removing/Installing Transmission Brace

  2. Remove the transaxle brace (4). Refer to Automatic Transmission Brace Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)  or Automatic Transmission Brace Replacement (All Wheel Drive)  or Automatic Transmission Brace Replacement (Front Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive) .

  3. Remove the torque converter cover bolts.
  4. Remove the torque converter cover.
