Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil indicator from the filler tube.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.5L (LX9).

  3. Remove the retaining nut from the EGR at the top of the filler tube.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  5. Remove the lower retaining bolt at the base of the filler tube.
  6. Remove the fluid filler tube.

  7. Remove the fluid filler tube seal.
