Installation Procedure

Clean the oil level indicator tube.
Apply sealant around the oil level indicator tube 12.7 mm (0.50 in) below the bead. Use sealant GM P/N 12346286 (Canadian P/N 10953472) or the equivalent.
Install the oil level indicator tube into the engine block.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Install the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Install the oil level indicator.
Install the spark plug wire to the number 6 cylinder spark plug.
