Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6, 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, and 2006 Buick Terraza. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the engine mount to the engine mount bracket.

  2. Install the engine mount bracket with the engine mount to the oil pan.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the engine mount bracket-to-oil pan bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

  4. Use the utility stand in order to lower the engine.

  5. Install the engine mount lower nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 47 N.m (35 lb ft).

  6. Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine in Body Front End.
  7. Install the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  8. Connect the catalytic converter pipe to the engine exhaust manifold. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER REPLACEMENT in Engine Exhaust.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Install the engine mount struts. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left  and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right .
  11. Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.5L.
