Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear wiper motor (3) to the liftgate.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the rear wiper motor screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the wiper motor.

  4. Install the washer (7) and seal (8) onto the rear wiper motor drive shaft.
  5. Install the rear wiper motor drive shaft nut (6).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  6. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear .
  7. Inspect rear wiper for proper operation.
  8. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate in Body Rear End.
