Installation Procedure

NOTE: refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Position the thermostat housing.
Install the thermostat housing bolt/stud.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 2.5 N.m (18 lb in).

Install the radiator outlet hose to the thermostat housing.
Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention lock at the thermostat housing.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) .
