Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6, 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, and 2006 Buick Terraza. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the RPA sensor to the rear bumper fascia, if equipped. Refer to Rear Object Sensor Replacement in Rear Park Assist.

  2. Align the rear bumper fascia (2) to the rear bumper fascia outer support.
  3. Align the rear bumper fascia outer retainer (4) to the body.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the palnut to the rear bumper fascia outer retainer.

    Tighten:  Tighten the palnut to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the push-in retainers (3) to the upper and lower rear bumper fascia.
  6. Install the screws (5) at the right and left wheel well to the rear bumper fascia.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear bumper fascia wheel well screws to 3 N.m (26 lb in).

  7. Connect the electrical connection (1) to the rear object sensor harness, if equipped.
  8. Close the liftgate.
