Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Pontiac) , Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Buick)  or Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Chevrolet) .
  2. Disconnect the rear object sensor wiring harness from the rear energy absorber, if equipped.
  3. Remove the energy absorber from the fascia by releasing the tabs on the fascia.
