Test Description

The number below refers to the step number on the diagnostic table.

  1. 2:  This step verifies that DTC B2945 is current. DTC B2945 will only be set as a current DTC when the ignition OFF. To inspect for a current DTC B2945, the ignition must be first turned ON to wake up the module, then the ignition must be turned OFF to inspect for the DTC.

1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information

  1. Turn the ignition ON.
  2. Turn the ignition OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, check for current DTCs.
Is DTC B2945 set as current?		 Go to Step 3  Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems
3 Inspect the security system sensor supply voltage circuit for a short to battery. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 4  Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

  1. Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTCs.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text.
Does the DTC reset?		 Go to Step 2  System OK
