Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the liftgate water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Liftgate .

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the liftgate latch.
  4. Remove the liftgate latch retaining bolts.
  5. Using a small flat-bladed tool, remove the latch cable clip (2) from the liftgate latch.
  6. Release the latch cable retainer and remove latch cable from liftgate latch.
  7. Remove the liftgate latch from the liftgate.
