Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left rear inner fender liner.
  2. Open the left sliding door.
  3. Remove the left body side trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left .

  4. Release the cable tension on fuel filler door innerlock cable and remove fuel door innerlock cable from the sliding door innerlock latch.
  5. Disconnect the fuel filler door innerlock cable from the fuel door.
  6. Attach a piece of mechanics wire to the fuel filler door innerlock cable end.
  7. Use a small flat-bladed tool to release the fuel filler door cable from the rear inner quarter panel.

  8. Use the mechanics wire to pull the fuel filler door innerlock cable through and into the rear inner quarter panel opening.
  9. Remove the mechanics wire from the fuel filler door innerlock cable leaving the mechanics wire routed through the rear quarter panel.
  10. Remove the fuel filler door innerlock cable from the vehicle.
